David Bowie - El Hombre Que Vendio El Mundo [12", LP]

It started in highschool, around 1983. DAVID BOWIE had hits in the charts like Let's Dance and China Girl, and i bought the Let's Dance album. Most other kids were into Michael Jackson those days, but that was when i started to become a real Bowie fan. Not much later, i bought two compilations (Golden Years and Rare), and then i started to collect David Bowie. On vinyl, since CD's would be much more expensive. And not even all his albums were released on CD yet either. Up until the early nineties, i had over 50 Bowie vinyl releases. Then Ryko would bring out remastered reissue CD's with bonus tracks, and being a poor student at the time i decided to get rid of my old LP's and singles, and buy those CD's.

A decision that i still regret a lot, but we can't turn back time so no use to think back much about all the great stuff i had.

Little by little, i am building a David Bowie vinyl collection again. The most recent purchase (at Velvet Records in Amersfoort) is a Spanish pressing of THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD. The musical content is the same (although it would be funny to hear the Dame sing in Spanish, like he did a German & French version of the song Heroes and an Italian one of Space Oddity), but the cover artwork is all in Spanish. So the title of this one's EL HOMBRE QUE VENDIO EL MUNDO, and for example the song Black Country Rock is called Rock De La Tierra Negra.
No idea if it's rare, but at least i'm very happy with this peculiar relase.
